We were in the same meeting, listening to the same discussion. One person grasped the idea, saying "This is it," and three weeks later, it takes shape. The other person felt nothing at the time. Even looking back later, they can't see where the signs were.
And this is not just about what happens inside a meeting room. Out of the countless human beings breathing the air of the same era, only a tiny minority touch upon the same idea. In places far apart, the same discoveries arise at the same time. History is filled with records of that.
Before dismissing it as good intuition, I draw a line.
The word intuition brings an end to discussions of reproducibility. The moment you attribute something to personal aptitude or chance, you can no longer inquire any further. Yet, there is a structure to the precision of grasping it.
Within the framework of extended imaginary number theory, the structural surplus that cannot fit within the description of real dimensions is called imaginary dimensions. One point of caution is needed here. Imaginary dimensions are not a place where possibilities, futures, or ideas are lined up. Possibilities and futures are already on the side of real dimensions the moment they are conceived. Imaginary dimensions are things that remain without being able to be exemplified as content.
We call the phenomenon where that surplus emerges as a sign on the side of the cognitive space an "occurrence."
The important thing is that the occurrence is not happening inside someone. Yet, it is not placed outside, waiting to be grasped. When untangling the probability of an occurrence's emergence, its conditions are organized by two axes: perspective and purity.
── First axis: perspective
It is a matter of the perspective of what range is captured. Where to set the origin, how far to bring into range, and which way to face.
For the exact same surplus, depending on where one stands, the reachable range and the shape that emerges in terms of meaning also change. From a narrow perspective, there are things that do not even fall within the capture range to begin with.
And perspective is not something possessed by individuals alone. Organizations have their own perspective, and eras have theirs. What no one could grasp in one era becomes a commonplace premise in the next. It is not that the side of excess has changed; rather, the origin point and range of the capturing side have shifted.
An individual's perspective almost always falls within the perspective of the environment to which they belong. Therefore, shifting one's perspective is, in reality, close to moving the environment in which one stands.
── Second axis: Purity
Purity refers to the degree to which interference noise in the field of consciousness is relatively diluted. Interference from others, self-interest, and awareness of evaluation: the weaker these are, the higher the purity.
What should be noted is that purity is a concept distinct from concentration or arousal level. Even with extreme concentration, if interference is strong, purity is low. Conversely, there are times when purity is high in a relaxed state.
Purity is likewise not confined to individual attributes. Environments have their own purity. In a room where mutual judgment is tense, the purity of everyone present drops simultaneously. Even if one person is exceptional, the total volume of interference outweighs it. Conversely, individuals placed in an environment with sparse interference will grasp things they could never normally reach, regardless of their actual abilities.
And purity is not a measure of value. It is not a stage of enlightenment, nor an evaluation of personality, but a concept for structurally describing that state. Being low does not mean being inferior.
The two axes are not independent.
As purity increases, it becomes easier to move away from a fixed perspective. If the perspective moves, the range that can be captured also changes, and what is captured there further reduces interference. The two influence each other.
Therefore, trying too hard to increase purity has the opposite effect. This is because the very intention to "increase it" is self-interest and acts as interference.
What actually works is not trying to catch it. By taking a stance that allows it to happen, things rise up that were out of reach when you were trying to grab them.
Resolution works best before you make it, not after you've committed.
Here is one thing where the order is easily mistaken. That is resolve.
Resolve is not the third axis. It is the condition that determines the ceiling of purity. The genesis of realms one is not prepared to accept cannot be grasped in the first place. To be precise, it is not that they cannot be grasped, but that one chooses not to grasp them.
In other words, the gripping power is determined by the product of purity and resolve. Since it is a product, if either one is zero, no matter how much you raise the other, you will never reach it.
What is grasped belongs to no one
A person who catches the onset of something often treats it as proof of their own talent. But viewed through this structure, the onset is not a possession. It simply arose first where someone was standing at a certain coordinate with a certain degree of interference. That is all there is to it.
That is why the same discoveries happen in separate places at the same time. They emerge in order from the locations that meet the conditions. Who is first is a matter of conditions, not of superiority or inferiority.
When viewed that way, for the first time, the direction of the question changes. It is no longer about how to grasp it yourself. It is about where to stand, and how much to thin out the interference, for it to pass through.
The question is not whether you have grasped it. It is from where and to what extent you are receiving it now, in a state with minimal interference. And that question is not one for yourself alone. The purity of the place where you stand directly determines the capture precision of everyone present.
