Short-term irrational, long-term rational.
This is a relatively common and easy-to-understand concept within the Suguri theory, and it's something that's often mentioned elsewhere. Simply put, everyone makes short-sighted rational decisions, which leads to a lack of differentiation and excessive competition. By consistently choosing options that appear irrational in the short term, one can make a rational choice in the long term. Because these choices appear irrational, there are fewer competitors, and ultimately, it's possible to engage in a comparatively easier battle.
The terms like "virtual dimension" that I've been advocating are good in that they're only known to a select few, and in fact, that adds to their value. But we're beyond that now. I've decided to release them to everyone, in every direction and dimension, aiming for the level where they'll be included in a dictionary of new words.
That first step of resolve was this media that was recently released, the Suguri Encyclopedia, the press release, and the virtual dimension project site.
I've received countless comments like "Why not just use Note instead of going to the trouble of using resources to create media?" and I can sense unspoken thoughts like "You'll get bored of it soon anyway," but I'm also happy that someone is saying exactly what I wanted to say, like "Is it an encyclopedia or a dictionary?" Nevertheless, I intend to accept all these voices while letting them flow past me.
As I mentioned in the previous "Correspondence," also known as the Suganuma Diary, doing nothing is the safest and most stable course of action. Since every action and statement carries risks and rewards, remaining silent and watching from the sidelines is, in a sense, the correct choice. However, there are a certain number of people like us who dislike watching others' performances and feel compelled to dance intensely themselves. These individuals, unable to calculate the inherent risks, charge forward with one eye closed, focusing only on a bright future – or rather, they run full speed with both eyes squinted. In a way, they are the farthest from rationality.
I believe that the true kindness is to further push someone who is heading headfirst into a wall, increasing the impact of their collision. However, I recognize that in this world, kindness is generally understood as sensing danger and preventing such collisions from happening in the first place.
I believe it would be more interesting if instead of more people becoming safety-conscious and avoiding injuries, we saw more people who, even if they hit a wall spectacularly, could laugh it off, treat their injuries, and immediately start running towards the next thing. That's why I've decided to prioritize this short-term, undeniably irrational media operation by wholeheartedly throwing myself against the wall first.
Ultimately, even in the long run, it turns out to have been irrational, which is also a wonderful conclusion. In any case, I want to follow my intuition and curiosity and fully enjoy the irrationality.
