What happens to a person when they hit rock bottom and have nowhere left to turn?
Normally, one gives up. Still, one flees. And then one breaks.
But, very rarely, something else entirely happens.

Opportunities that arise at the bottom of life
There is a phenomenon called compression.
The choices diminish. Freedom is stripped away. "Other possible outcomes" disappear one by one.
This is different from concentration. Concentration is the act of focusing attention on one point. It's narrowing your spotlight. You can stop it any time. You still have options, and if necessary, you have somewhere else to go.
Compression is different. The destination itself disappears.
The moment the coordinate system collapses
Choices disappear, escape routes vanish, excuses fade, and even the sense of "self" grows thin. The ego itself becomes unsustainable.
at that limit, the coordinate system is inverted.
The real dimension collapses, and the imaginary dimension opens.
Virtual Dimension Inversion: A Mathematical View of Structure
Written as a formula, it is as follows: Z = D + iD. D and iD are the real and imaginary dimensions.

This is a state where the ego structure in the real dimension has been minimized due to a relative increase in the proportion of the imaginary dimension, causing its original causal law to leak out into the real dimension.
Why doesn't it reverse when compressed?
What's important here is that reaching a tipping point doesn't necessarily mean a reversal will occur.
There is a structure similar to quantum tunneling in physics. Even without the energy to overcome a wall, one can probabilistically appear on the other side of the wall. However, it is probabilistic.
Compression is a necessary condition, but not a sufficient condition.
This is why a dramatic comeback from rock bottom doesn't happen to everyone every time.
Latent period - a time when change is not visible
And between compression and reversal, there is a period that should be called the "latent heat period."
When water turns into ice, the temperature stays at zero degrees, and only latent heat is continuously released. A period of consumption without apparent change.
Many people drop out during this latent period because they don't see any change.
But it is precisely when no change is visible that the deepest changes are occurring in this darkest of darkness, at rock bottom.
It's not a dead end, but a prelude to a reversal.
