“My perspective changed.” “My field of view widened.” These everyday expressions leave unstated what widens and what changes. This paper gives the question a structural answer by describing perspective in terms of the coordinate structure of thought itself. Perspective is specified by three elements — range, orthogonality, and origin — where range is a magnitude extending over time, space, abstraction, and complexity, and orthogonality denotes epistemic independence rather than mathematical orthogonality. The four operations upon axes (extension, addition, recomposition, meta-framing) widen the field of view, yet all preserve one unmoving point: the origin. The core of the paper lies in a distinction concerning this point. The origin proper — the structural position of zero value on every axis — is separated from the effective origin, its composite with the presuppositional layer (identification, ordering of values, commitment to reality, admissibility of questions), and the invisibility of the effective origin from within the coordinate system it defines is analysed into two modes: structural invisibility arising from indeterminacy, and functional invisibility arising from operating as the standard of measurement. On this basis, what ordinary language calls “movement of the origin” is redefined not as translation but as a three-phase process — detachment of the presuppositional layer (zeroing), exposure of bare zero (the transitional phase), and re-formation under a new layer — whose driving conditions are organised as the product of core-tremor, duration, and plasticity. The natural frequency governing core-tremor is assigned neither to the origin nor to the presuppositional layer, but to a substratum of body and history that persists across the three phases. Because the origin is zero, axes can be constituted in any direction; from this the paper derives an epistemological reversal: the origin is not the past source of axes but the present locus that continuously sustains their possibility — a generativity specified strictly as an enabling condition, never an efficient cause. Finally, given the structural correspondence between the indeterminate origin and emptiness (śūnyatā), and the relational constitution of everything else in the model as dependent origination (pratītya-samutpāda), the paper re-addresses the long-standing question of self (ātman) and no-self (anātman) — including the Mahāyāna reintroduction of a “true self” and its rejection by Critical Buddhism — through the unified concept of generative emptiness, noting its affinity with Nishida's logic of place and Nishitani's standpoint of emptiness while answering the dhātu-vāda critique by three explicit delimitations.
